The Abdication: Run 1

A regular suburban family in the modern day — except for the patriarch’s belief that he is the rightful heir to the throne, descended from the right line to the throne. Widowed many years ago, he now wishes to remarry — and to a “servant”, no less! Obviously, the only honorable thing to do is for him to abdicate and to pass his crown to one of his two adult children, who had been raised under this delusion. But should the title go to the indolent younger son, or to the elder daughter, now a Labour/social democratic politician and somewhat ashamed of her “royal” heritage?

The larp is a family drama played over a three-course dinner. We’ll explore relatable family dynamics in the context of a very strange family. The larp will take place during a three course dinner in three acts.
