Expedition Asphodel

The 19th century, the Heroic Age of Polar Exploration and the race to the final frontiers of the Earth. As even the most hostile corners of this world are swallowed up by the British Empire and her insatiable hunger for Imperialism, not all of her soldiers make it home to the motherland alive. The tempestuous waves or the frozen planes claim their lives and their ambitious dreams but not before dissolving what is left of their humanity and driving them to unspeakable acts of hubris.

We can all but guess the true fates of those departed souls but we can explore a world where death may not have been their end. Join us and see where these stories lead. How far will you go to cling to hope as your humanity wanes? What will you do??

Expedition Asphodel is a larp about exploration and imperialism, about hubris , hopelessness and the slow descent into madness, about what makes us humans and what it takes to turn us into monsters. We will place real emotions and aspects of history into a fantastical frame. It will be dark, gritty and tragic.
