A Thoroughly Respectable LARP

June 29, 2024 @ 2:00 pm 10:00 pm

This is a one-off event open to all, though some of the story threads and characters will be connected to the previous online form of the game that took place during various lockdowns.

In British Society of 1815 there are many young ladies and gentlemen who are seeking to be married, or parents who are seeking to see them so. The Regency demands these manners and social advancements among those of a certain degree of class and elegance. The A Thoroughly Respectable LARP is meant to deal with navigating the restrictive social class system of Jane Austen, intermingled with the difficulties of a military social life.

Players will be in households, regiments and ship’s crews. Households may be incredibly large or as small as one or two people.

The game follows the social expectations including oppressive views towards class, gender, sexuality and religious freedoms that occurred within the historical time period.

However; prejudice based on OC characteristics will not be tolerated.

Accessibility in LARP is vital and the refs will work with all attendees to make the event as accessible as possible.

The motto of this system is “chillest LARP ever”!
