SUMMARY:The Wild Hunt: 3 AM Forever
DESCRIPTION:The larp 3 AM Forever return in Tampere as part of the A Week in Finland programming before Solmukohta! The larp runs on Tuesday 9th of April and happens between 16:00 and 24:00 in a Tampere venue. \n\n\n\nParticipating in the larp requires a separate sign up and participation fee. \n\n\n\nThe sign up opens in early February. The larp can accommodate 60-80 participants\, depending on how many sign ups we get. \n\n\n\nThe Orpheus Theatre is known for the hazy\, unreal midnight celebrations following its premieres and productions. Actors\, art students\, derelicts\, junkies\, the stars of yesterday\, and the promising talent of tomorrow all creep in for that sordid dance-floor magic\, for the slow\, horny chaos of drugged up 3 AM confusion. Emerging in the early hours\, steeped in bizarre regrets and haunting memories\, you wonder whether everything really happened.There are plenty of rumours that strange tragedies follow people at these parties\, and that being involved in the theatre’s productions is dangerous. Few bother to see the shows – small weird affairs with short runs\, and bizarre\, haunting imagery. They come for the partiesThere is a reason why The Orpheus is too strange to succeed\, yet pulls in the hungry\, the lonely\, and the yearning. The fae lurk in the shadows\, eager to touch the reality and spark of a human being. Eager to be changed by it. The fae feed every ambition and creative impulse\, no matter how dangerous or self-destructive. For the faeries at their eternal party\, there is no beauty as striking as that of human desperation.Dance\, human. Dance at the risk of having to dance for ever.3 AM Forever is a larp set at the party following a premiere at The Orpheus. In the hours from when the show ends to the end of the night\, you will lose yourself in your dreams\, stumbling out as both less and more than what you were before. The memories of what you did might fill you with dread but you’d do it all over again.

DESCRIPTION:Solmukohta is a Nordic role-playing game conference and community event. Held annually in the Nordic countries since 1997\, the name of the event is Solmukohta\, Knutepunkt\, Knutpunkt\, or Knudepunkt depending on the country where it’s held. It has been a vital institution in fostering a Nordic role-playing identity\, and in establishing the concept of “Nordic larp” as a unique approach. Originating as a purely larp event\, the conference has since embraced role-playing games more generally. While today the emphasis is still on larp\, Solmukohta is also an event for workshops\, progressive new ideas\, community building and academic research around larp.

SUMMARY:The Devil You Know: Run 3
DESCRIPTION:A group of people have circulated in the mental health care system for a long time and are gathered at a remote location. They all attended the same youth camp several years ago\, and have since had great difficulty functioning normally in society. They have fragmented memories from the time before the camp\, they isolate themselves and show signs of delusions. \n\n\n\nOne half of the participants play possessed humans\, and the other half play their demons. They are paired together\, stuck with each other in a toxic and co-dependent relationship that has lasted since the youth camp. \n\n\n\nThe larp is set to present time and is about people who struggle to break free\, trying to reach out to other humans and create a connection\, and about the demons who are fighting to remain in control.The Devil You Know is a larp that touches on loneliness and isolation\, but the story is about finding hope and building friendship.

DESCRIPTION:Fairweather Manor: The Titanic Prelude is an immersive role-play event (larp) inspired by the 1910s as seen in  Downton Abbey\, Upstairs\, Downstairs and Titanic. Our goal is to balance the atmosphere of a historical setting with a highly immersive and playable experience. \n\n\n\nYou’ll step into the historical era around 1912 as you enter a world of hubris at the height of European aristocracy. Experience life in this moment of time\, and engage in drama filled with passion\, intrigue\, and deception. The central conflicts in Fairweather Manor are class and gender struggles in the 1910s. The drama will revolve around social standing and family relations. \n\n\n\n​ \n\n\n\nIn the world of Fairweather Manor\, how you look is not relevant to your standing in society. While we want to explore the struggle of gender and class in the times of 1912\, we won’t play on subjects of racism.

DESCRIPTION:The seed has been prepared. Carefully\, vigorously. Prepared to be carried far and wide and planted into fertile soil. We now await those who would sow it\, water it\, harvest its fruits. Those who will move minds\, hearts\, and feet. The tyranny of the Iron Tzar has gone on for far too long! \n\n\n\nKrystalivm addresses dark\, dystopian themes specific to the steampunk genre in both direct and metaphorical ways. Topics relevant to us today are used within the genre’s framework to question and analyze civilization and humanity. We want to tell an impactful story that touches on themes relevant to today\, played out in a world of our own making\, that provides us with the creative freedom to set its foundations\, making them easy to navigate\, interesting to explore\, and existing to be influenced by players. \n\n\n\nThis world is designed to evolve throughout the Krystalivm trilogy\, both during and between its chapters. The main events show us the beating heart of the revolution\, taking us into its headquarters – but the characters will be taken into the trenches\, sent on secret missions\, and given other assignments during smaller side events (side-quest larps) that will further unveil or introduce plots explored in the trilogy.

DESCRIPTION:It has been fifteen years now\, since a group of exceptionally talented students at an elite English university discovered a way to lure the Muses of antiquity into their presence\, and to compel them to manifest themselves. The students separated the divine siblings one from the other\, and ritually bound them into servitude. Each Muse was made to serve one or more of the students; to be the well-spring of the Inspiration that set them on their paths to glory. \n\n\n\nThe students have now become the Inspired – the most celebrated artists\, scientists\, and leaders in the world. The Muses to whom they owe their success remain bound to them\, and have by turns accepted their lot\, vainly attempted to rebel against their captors\, gradually developed Stockholm syndrome\, befriended their captors or even fallen in love with them. There is precious little Inspiration left for others\, since it is all hoarded by the Inspired\, for their use alone. \n\n\n\nOnce a year\, all of the Inspired and their Muses come together at Helicon Manor\, to renew the ritual that binds them. \n\n\n\nAll of the Muses are siblings; they both crave one another’s company and need it. As for the Inspired\, they get to spend time with the only other people in the world with whom they share their secret\, who also know how it feels to be host to an ancient supernatural force\, who understand each other in ways that no other mortals ever could.
