DESCRIPTION:Concord Olympus is a neon-drenched\, neo-noir\, where gods\, heroes and monsters walk the modern streets\, hidden from mortal eyes. Empowered by the memories of myths and deeds\, they have subtly shaped humanity for eons\, but now their time is drawing to a close. Zeus\, greatest among them\, has fallen\, a feat many did not believe possible\, and the remaining members of their community have drawn together out of necessity. They must crown a new leader before the Diasia—the ancient festival honoring the gods—has ended\, or all will suffer a collapse of power.Players will portray gods\, heroes and monsters\, vying for scraps of power and settling old scores\, for two days in the borough of Brooklyn in New York City. The game begins on Friday afternoon\, as factions amass and alliances are made\, before culminating in an explosive finale on Saturday night\, where the new king of the gods is crowned. An informal mixer will be held on Thursday evening\, and directed workshops on safety\, mechanics and character relationships will take place on Friday afternoon\, before the game begins. \n\n\n\nZeus\, king of the gods\, is dead…Deities\, demigods\, heroes and monsters have come together to determine who will lead them\, but old grudges die hard.Those languishing in the shadows are making plans of their own\, while others call in centuries-old debts\, hoping to crown a new demiurge—one they can use to reshape the world in their image.The king is dead. DESCRIPTION:It has been fifteen years now\, since a group of exceptionally talented students at an elite English university discovered a way to lure the Muses of antiquity into their presence\, and to compel them to manifest themselves. The students separated the divine siblings one from the other\, and ritually bound them into servitude. Each Muse was made to serve one or more of the students; to be the well-spring of the Inspiration that set them on their paths to glory. \n\n\n\nThe students have now become the Inspired – the most celebrated artists\, scientists\, and leaders in the world. The Muses to whom they owe their success remain bound to them\, and have by turns accepted their lot\, vainly attempted to rebel against their captors\, gradually developed Stockholm syndrome\, befriended their captors or even fallen in love with them. There is precious little Inspiration left for others\, since it is all hoarded by the Inspired\, for their use alone. \n\n\n\nOnce a year\, all of the Inspired and their Muses come together at Helicon Manor\, to renew the ritual that binds them. \n\n\n\nAll of the Muses are siblings; they both crave one another’s company and need it. As for the Inspired\, they get to spend time with the only other people in the world with whom they share their secret\, who also know how it feels to be host to an ancient supernatural force\, who understand each other in ways that no other mortals ever could. \n\n\n\nSing-ups open on March 17th and close on April 17th 2024.

DESCRIPTION:Themes: Family – Delusion – RoyaltyOriginal larp by Karolina SoltysA regular suburban family in the modern day — except for the patriarch’s belief that he is the rightful heir to the throne\, descended from the right line to the throne. Widowed many years ago\, he now wishes to remarry — and to a “servant”\, no less! Obviously\, the only honorable thing to do is for him to abdicate and to pass his crown to one of his two adult children\, who had been raised under this delusion. But should the title go to the indolent younger son\, or to the elder daughter\, now a Labour/social democratic politician and somewhat ashamed of her “royal” heritage? \n\n\n\nThe larp is a family drama played over a three-course dinner. We’ll explore relatable family dynamics in the context of a very strange family. The larp will take place during a three course dinner in three acts.
